HOW TO TAKE NOTE
Its been a fortnight since my last update about study skills. Today I remember that I must update my blog everytime I finish a new topic. Thanks to my friend Syafiq a.k.a "classrep" I arrived late to the class. But Sir Kamil, my lecture forgived me and told not to come late again or he will lock the door so I cannot enter the class after this. As you can see from the topic above, Sir Kamil teach us How to Take Note. I know it sounds like a piece of cake but you will surprise by the abundant of technique to take notes.
Before he shows us the technique he asked why it is important to take note? Many responses were given by the other friends but all of it were not closed with the main points. Sir said, jot down notes were importants because it showed that you are an active listener, the information must be accurate so they will no misunderstanding and it also for your own good as a repetiton material. He also said before you come to the class you must be preapared. The questions are how? He explained that before your come yo the class you must read the text. By read, it will help you build the background about the topic so you will not loss during the class. Sitting infront also help you taking note more precisely because you can review your note with the lecture. By doing that you can decrease your chances of getting wrong informations.
Next, he reminds us during lecture time please listen with an open mind. During the questions and answer sessions you will hear various responses from your fellow friends. Maybe some of the idea are not the same with you but still it just opinion so you cannot mad at it. Control emotional feeling are impotant so that you will not take it to much untill the end of the class. He repeatedly said if you heard similiar words many times please ask about the definiton. Ask your lecture during the class or after the class if you lost at certain parts.
Now we talking about the technique. Every subject had its own way so you will not find it boring and dull. For example, math and science your are suitable to using mind maps. If it about discussion, you can do it in cornell way.
Lastly, plant this quote in your mind " The biggest lie I said to myself is: I dont need to write that down cause I can remembered it."
